Sigur Rós -The Rose of Victory – is an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical, experimental, and minimalist elements. Listening to Sigur Rós it’s like being on a trip on your mind, its ethereal sound and lead singer Jónsi’s falsetto voice makes you go away through your thoughts, that you’ll only notice your are out of your mind until their records are over, telling you it’s time to put your feet on the ground.
I discovered this great band a couple of weeks ago and immediately catch my attention. It’s discography has five studio albums, were you can follow this band’s musical evolution. Here’s a video from his 2005 album Takk, called Glósóli. Enjoy!!

I’ve just got back from the hairdresser, I went there just for for a nice haircut, and now I’m bald!!!. That crazy bitch didn’t ask me how a wanted, and just started to cut the hair on the top of my head, by the moment I realized what she was doing, it was too late.

I really don’t understand how a person that works in the esthetic’s business can act in such careless way, not having the kindness to ask what the customer wants, an idea of what you expect from them. The result is not other than me being bald an feeling like shit, and it’s not that I’ve never been bald before, but the little difference here it’s that this time I didn’t ask for it. I needed to complain to anyone, and maybe it’s just a stupid thing, but somehow I was about to explode if I didn’t do anything about. Well, I guess I have nothing else to say by now.

What is wrong with Venezuela’s president Hugo Chávez?. This guy is about to start a war among his government, Colombia and Ecuador. His last “big idea” was to use the incident between Colombia and Ecuador as an excuse to order the retreat of the Venezuelan Embassy in Colombia, as well as mobilized his army to the common border. He never stops insulting Colombia’s president Álvaro Uribe, and I think this has no other reason than his disappoint because he hasn’t been able to achieve that his crazy revolution enters to our Country. Colombian government must now act with precaution, apologize to Ecuadorians, and not to pay attention to Chávez’s constant trash-talking.

It’s true we made a mistake by striking a guerrilla camp in Ecuador, and even more I wish Colombian Minister of Defense has said nothing about the military operation in Ecuadorian territory, but in the other hand, I think probably is a manageable situation regarding a bigger achievement, like eliminating one of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia -FARC- top leaders like was a.k.a Raul Reyes. Many people thinks this could change the course of the war as it is, but I’d like that all my fellow Colombians could recognize that this situation is not a guerrilla issue by 100%, instead has many social and maybe cultural roots, because I feel Colombians do not respect each others as brothers, leading to a broken social scene where each one try to take advantage of the others, no matter the damage they cause.

Anyway, this post was originally about our crazy neighbor , I hope someday Venezuelans can rest of this dictator disguised as Simon Bolivar, and that day must come soon otherwise this guy either will kill them with hunger or by starting a war between us and them.
